Access to Nursing and Midwifery:

Level 3: The Cheadle College

This is a practical course offering a broad base of skills to support employment in the health care sector. This course is designed to introduce some of the main areas of Human Physiology, Health & Welfare and how it’s studied.

All assessment is coursework based. Students produce a portfolio of work that is internally and externally assessed.

The qualification is equivalent to 3 A levels at A* – C

More than just a course

You will learn all about human anatomy and physiology and a range of modules specifically designed to give you a detailed in-sight into health studies in modern Britain.

A portfolio of written assignments practical role plays/observations and internal/external assessments will provide you with a broad and diverse learning experience.

Entry Requirements

A minimum of 2 GCSEs at grade C or including English or maths.

A willingness to collect, organise and interpret information to produce a portfolio of work. The ability to work independently and to meet deadlines

Money matters

If you are aged 19 or older, you will be able to apply for a loan to help with the costs of this course. You won’t pay anything back until you’re earning over £21,000 a year. If you then complete a higher education course, you won’t have to repay the remaining of the loan.

Age 19 to 23 – Fee remission applies to someone in receipt of eligible benefits, or where someone is studying their first full Level 3 course.
