The Cheadle College
The Cheadle College is part of The C&M College Network.
Marple Sixth Form College
Our sister college, Marple Sixth Form College is also part of The C&M College Network.
This ranges from their personal safety and security while on campus, broadening their horizons through field-trips, work placements and other extra-curricular activities, ensuring we are meeting their personal and academic needs through to high quality careers and training advice.
Ofsted recognises this commitment to 360° student care – and we are also proud to be the first Sixth Form College in England to receive the prestigious Training and Quality Standards Award and also to have been awarded the Matrix Quality Standard for outstanding student guidance.
We also take a partnership approach in everything we do, seeking to work with our students in a positive and constructive manner to give them the best chance to realise their full potential.
We understand that the step up from school to college can be daunting as well as exciting which is why every student is paired with a personal tutor who is on hand to help with any problems while settling in, or at any time during college life.
Staying In Touch With Parents
We work closely with parents and carers to make sure our students get the most out of their time with us. We keep in contact via regular progress reports, updates by email and publish all of our latest news online. We further host regular meetings and events, where parents and carers can discuss any issues face-to-face with both teaching and support staff.
Open Door Policy
If any student, parent or carer has an issue or concerns about any aspect of college life trained staff are always on hand to talk to and give advice. In the first instance please contact Mike Rivett, Head of Pastoral Support on 0161 486 4659 or Head of Student Support Amanda Crossan on 0161 486 4661
